Submissions
QQ uses Submittable to manage submissions. We typically open submissions at least once per semester. Our ongoing annual opportunities are the Fall Chapbook and Spring Magazine. We are also accepting content for our podcast series.

Additionally, we hold annual Spring Writing Awards. Sort of our version of the Oscars. These awards allow writers to submit work that may be too long for our other opportunities. Winners in each category receive a cash prize.

Our current categories are:
-
Fiction
-
Essay
-
Poetry
-
Playscript
-
Graphic Narrative
-
Cover Art (digital, photography, or scans of physical works)
-
Religious Poetry (Spring Award, endowed by the Roy A. Burkhart estate)
-
Historical Fiction (Spring Award, endowed by the Walter Barnes estate)
Create a free account on Submittable for more information, and to search for more opportunities after our submissions close. You can follow our Submittable to be alerted on updates.

All reviews are blind, meaning only the QQ Faculty Advisor knows the identities of writers and artists until final decisions are made. QQ Staff review submissions for the podcast, spring magazine, and cover art award, while off-campus judges choose the winners of writing awards in a separate review process.
